We recommend emailing ahead for group visits or to confirm current exhibition schedules. Walk-ins are always welcome during opening hours at our main Maboneng gallery.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an admission fee?
Our galleries operate on a suggested donation basis of R50 per person. This supports our artist programmes and community initiatives. Students and children enter free of charge.
Can I take photographs?
Personal photography without flash is permitted in most exhibitions. Some artists restrict photography of their work. Staff can advise on specific exhibition policies.
How do I apply for the residency programme?
Applications open in March and September each year. Submit a portfolio, statement of intent, and proposed project outline via email. Our curatorial panel reviews all submissions and notifies successful applicants within six weeks.
Do you purchase artwork?
We facilitate sales between artists and collectors but do not purchase work for a permanent collection. For artwork currently exhibited, enquire with gallery staff about pricing and acquisition.
